Session Description

Agriculture is the cornerstone of many Asian economies with about 40% of the population depending on this sector for their livelihoods. More than half of agricultural workers are women, who could produce 20-30% more food if provided with the same level of training, seeds, inputs and finance as male farmers. This session will highlight approaches to Gender Lens Investing in Agriculture across several Asian countries. Panelists will discuss lessons learned, unexpected challenges and the importance of collaboration with the right partners.
