Session Description

Markets can play an important role in advancing more inclusive economies, where opportunities for more broadly shared prosperity expand, especially for those facing the greatest barriers to advancing their well-being. As we explore potential collaborations to transform markets toward greater inclusion, what changes are we hoping to see in the world? This session will draw on perspectives from different actors thinking about what an inclusive economy looks like, what approaches can be used to get there, and what role markets can play in advancing more inclusive economies. The session will be framed by introductory remarks by each speaker followed by an interactive Q+A led by the moderator.  Time will also be reserved for the audience to ask questions of the panelists.

Key Takeaways:

  1. What should be the target outcomes of advancing more inclusive economies?
  2. How can the goal of making economies more inclusive contribute to transformative change?
  3. What types of collaborations and partnerships are needed to make markets more inclusive?
