Oskar works as the Enterprise and Economic Empowerment adviser for Oxfam and is based out of Jakarta.
He helps forge links between the investment community and Oxfam programs that support enterprise development. He has designed and launched a Social Enterprise incubator in Sri Lanka that focuses on small and medium enterprises (SMEs). In addition, he supports Oxfam's investment/research work that looks at Gender Lens Investing (GLI). Oskar also supports regional and global programs such as GRAISEA that focuses on responsible investments in the agriculture sector and Empower Youth for Work (EYW) that has a focus on youth entrepreneurship.
Prior to joining Oxfam, Oskar worked at three major investment banks in New York (CITI, Gruntal and Morgan Stanley) as a senior level asset manager. He has also been an entrepreneur, consultant and an instructor in the educational sector in Asia.
His academic background includes an undergraduate degree in finance and economics and a graduate degree in development studies from the University of London, SOAS.
