Dr Lim Lai Cheng is Executive Director of SMU Academy and Academic Director, Office of the Provost at Singapore Management University. She has extensive experience in the Singapore civil service and was principal of three schools (the last of which was Raffles Institution, Singapore) before her current appointment. Her work in curriculum planning and policy development with the Ministry of Education spans elementary to high school education.
Dr Lim is advisor to the African Leadership Academy in South Africa, the LEAF Foundation in Slovakia, the British Melodious Education Advisory Group in Hong Kong, and Letovo School in Moscow. She holds a BA (Hons) and MA from Cambridge University, a Masters in Education from the Nanyang Technological University and a Doctorate in Education from the Institute of Education, University College, London. She is a recipient of the 2012 Chevalier Dans L’ Ordre Des Palmes Academiques conferred by the French government.
