Sight and Life is a humanitarian nutrition think tank. Inspired by a vision of a world that is free from malnutrition, Sight and Life helps to improve the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable populations. Sight and Life does this by advancing innovation in discovery and implementation science and focusing on leadership development.
Kalpana brings in-depth understanding and implementation of social business models, agriculture, and food systems; distribution and supply chains, technology solutions in low and middle-income countries. She has over 13 years of experience in nutrition, food, WASH, renewable energy and global health, as an engineer and entrepreneur and worked with several NGOs, industry, government and start-ups. Kalpana holds a MBA from Harvard Business School, a Master’s in Agricultural and Food Engineering from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor’s in Agricultural and Food Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology (Kharagpur).
