Clarissa’s professional career combines both investment and operational finance experience. She has 14 years of experience in private equity and venture capital investments ranging from deal sourcing, due diligence to deal execution. She plays a key role in driving UOBVM’s impact investments in Southeast Asia. Prior to joining UOBVM, she worked for General Electric Company (GE) as part of its Financial Management Program. Whilst at GE, she worked with various GE business lines in Asia, in functional roles of project finance, business development, financial planning and analysis and received management awards for various roles.
Operational since 1992, UOBVM is the private equity/venture capital fund management arm of United Overseas Bank Limited, an Asian focused bank headquartered in Singapore. From its offices in Singapore, Jakarta and Shanghai, UOBVM manages investment funds with a strong focus on responsible investing, integrating environmental, social and health considerations into its investment process. Impact investments are directed from the Asia Impact Investment Fund I L.P., an impact fund platform that UOBVM manages in collaboration with Credit Suisse, its Impact Advisor.
Clarissa holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from National University of Singapore and is a CFA charter holder. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
