About Birger Stamperdahl

Give2Asia creates trusted relationships and carries out advised grant making between international funders and charitable organizations based throughout the Asia Pacific region. Birger has been part of the team at Give2Asia since 2006 and is based at the headquarters office in San Francisco. During the past 11 years, he has served in a variety of positions from business development and marketing, to VP of Programs to Chief Operating Officer before taking on leadership of the organization. He has served as President & CEO since 2014. In his current role, Birger leads overall management of the organization, new business outreach, and new program development. He has spoken on the topic of international philanthropy at U.S. and Asia-based events held by such groups as the Council on Foundations, the World Affairs Council, the Asia Society, and the Conference Board.

Before joining Give2Asia, Birger was vice president at Porter Novelli, a global marketing firm where he helped lead their Silicon Valley offices and interactive marketing programs for technology clients such as HP, EMC, McAfee and BMC. He holds degrees in Political Science and in Journalism from the University of New Hampshire.
