Adesh Tripathee is the Lead Staff of Habitat Humanity International’s Disaster Risk Reduction and Response works in the Asia-Pacific region. He is responsible for overall management of capacity development programs for integrating Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and Climate Change Adaptations (CCA) measures in housing sector within Habitat for Humanity’s national organizations and branches. He also leads the development of surge capacity to support disaster response-shelter interventions across Asia-Pacific.
Adesh has over 18-years of field based and international experience of programs management in developmental and complex emergency contexts. He undertook numerous field assignments in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Fiji, Haiti, India, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, North Korea, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vanuatu.
He is highly experienced in designing, managing and evaluating DRR and disaster recovery programs. He has excellent track record of managing DFID, ECHO and USAID/OFDA funded projects.
Adesh worked extensively with Habitat for Humanity International (2015 to present), American Red Cross (2010-2014), IFRC (2005-2010) and Nepal Red Cross (1997-2005).

This session will highlight some of these innovations in the context of successful partnership cases among the government, civil society and corporates. This session will also explore whether technology is helping to enable more partnerships and address some of the challenges and issues in catalyzing multisector partnerships in an effort to create larger impact.
